Michael Mays earned his M.S. in Statistics in 2021 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also holds B.S. degrees in Statistics, Political Science, and Philosophy from Kansas State University, earned in 2017, 2016, and 2016, respectively. He is currently working as a biostatistician and living in Madison, Wisconsin. His work has been published in The Journal of Dairy Science.

Michael is currently developing adventuRe, an interactive fiction video game engine written in the statistical programming language R. He has appeared as a guest and recurring guest on several podcasts, including A Podcast with Strangers, Lightning Strikes Thrice, and Icons & Eikons.
